Paradisus Fuerteventura Hotel Named Spain's Best Resort of 2026
The property formerly known as Hotel Los Gorriones has become one of the island’s most attractive offerings.
The new luxury project in Fuerteventura from the Meliá chain, Paradisus Fuerteventura, won yesterday the 2026 Best Resort award presented by the prestigious Forbes magazine during a ceremony held at Forbes House in Madrid.
The event was attended by the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, and the president of SpainMedia and editor of Forbes Spain, Andrés Rodríguez, who highlighted tourism’s role as the country’s main economic and strategic driver.
“We are super proud of our Paradisus Fuerteventura, which keeps ‘shredding’ among travelers and travel experts, together with our partners at Bancamarch, and receiving the Forbes Travel Award for ‘Best Resort’ of 2026, presented by the CEO of Spain Media,” the CEO of Meliá wrote on social media.
Paradisus Fuerteventura is located on Sotavento Beach, in the area formerly known as Hotel Los Gorriones. Its iconic facilities have become a benchmark for the island in 2026.
