Police Seek Two Women for €1,800 Airport Perfume Theft
Agents from the Fiscal Section of Fuerteventura Airport are investigating two women suspected of theft after luxury perfumes valued at €1,850 were reported missing. The incident occurred on 18 August and was reported by the affected company, which operates in a restricted area of the airport.
According to the Civil Guard, the probe began after surveillance footage showed the two women removing products from well‑known brands. Detailed analysis of the video and access logs enabled authorities to identify the suspects, who were traveling as passengers on a flight bound for Tenerife North.
The women accessed the restricted zone using valid boarding passes. Despite the short time before their flight, they acted quickly and discreetly. After passing security checks, they proceeded to selected shops, carried out the theft without raising suspicion, and took advantage of the passenger flow and the trusted airport environment.
The Fiscal and Border Section of Fuerteventura Airport initiated the first police actions, which were later continued by the Unit for Analysis of Fiscal and Border Information (UDAIFF) at Tenerife South Airport, the closest unit to the suspects’ residence. All investigative steps have been forwarded to the competent judicial authority.
