PP applauds Education's search for a new location for CEPA Fuerteventura Norte

The Popular Party (PP) of Fuerteventura has expressed its satisfaction with the announcement from the Canary Islands Government’s Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports that work is underway to find a new location for the Center for Adult Education (CEPA) Fuerteventura Norte, which is currently housed provisionally in the facilities of the Official School of Languages in Puerto del Rosario.

The PP deputy for Fuerteventura and president of the Education Commission of the Canary Islands Parliament, María Saavedra, thanked the Ministry for its involvement and commitment to solving inherited educational problems.

“The reality the Ministry faced at the start of this legislature was a building serving two completely different purposes: on one hand, the CEPA Fuerteventura Norte, and on the other, people with disabilities,” Saavedra explained, recalling that the decision to separate the two spaces was “urgent and necessary” to ensure the best educational conditions.

According to the PP deputy, the current location of the CEPA is a provisional measure adopted to address a legacy issue.

“Although no one is completely satisfied with the current situation—neither the Ministry nor the PP in Fuerteventura—we welcome the commitment of Minister Poli Suárez to seek a permanent site that provides an appropriate environment for both students and staff,” she said.

The PP trusts that the new location for CEPA Fuerteventura Norte will improve educational quality, offer spaces adapted to the needs of adult learners, and strengthen the training offer in the north of the island, thereby guaranteeing inclusive, accessible, and high‑quality education for all.
