Puerto del Rosario adds a light truck with lift
The City Council of Puerto del Rosario has formalised the acquisition of a light truck equipped with an aerial basket, a new resource intended for work at height throughout the municipality. The vehicle can reach a maximum working height of 18 metres and can be driven with a standard type‑B licence, significantly expanding the operational capacity of municipal services.
The contract was awarded to Fruehauf Recambios S.L. for €81,818.00 (excluding IGIC), as detailed in the council’s official statement.
This truck will enable safer and more efficient interventions in public spaces, including:
- Installation of temporary electrical systems for events.
- Placement of decorations, structures or lighting projectors.
- Routine tasks such as tree pruning and painting.
“The incorporation of this vehicle responds to a real need of municipal services. Having our own equipment adapted to this type of work allows us to act faster, but also with greater safety for staff and better results for citizens,” said Mayor David de Vera.
“This truck gives us much more autonomy to tackle height work on a daily basis. From electrical installations to maintenance, pruning or painting, we can now carry out these interventions more quickly and in an organized manner,” added Councilor for Services David de León.
The new vehicle joins a recently expanded municipal fleet that already includes:
- A high‑tonnage multi‑volume truck with a crane.
- Back‑hoe excavators for various construction tasks.
- Additional light trucks and vans for personnel transport and work crews.
With this addition, the City Council continues to improve its technical resources, optimise its response to municipal needs, and ensure a more effective service for any work that requires operations at height.
