Puerto del Rosario Business Leaders Seek Legal Advice
The Puerto del Rosario Business Association has signed a collaboration agreement with the Madrid‑based law firm MC Legal Solutions to provide its members with specialized legal counsel and strengthen legal support for the municipality’s business community.
The signing ceremony took place at Hotel El Mirador. After the agreement was formalised, attending entrepreneurs were able to submit their first queries to the firm’s representatives, who specialise in various areas of law.
Thanks to the pact, members will enjoy a free initial consultation and gain access to a portfolio of legal services tailored to the needs of the commercial sector, as reported by the Puerto del Rosario Business Association.
MC Legal Solutions maintains a physical office on Fuerteventura and offers services in fields such as commercial law, labour law, community administration, and accident law, among others.
“This agreement represents another step forward in defending the interests of local entrepreneurs and improving the services we provide,” said Daniela Plotegher, president of the association, in an official statement.
Among the projects already undertaken for the association is the drafting of objections to the municipal waste‑tax ordinance of the Puerto del Rosario City Council. According to Manuel Prado, lawyer at MC Legal Solutions, the objections succeeded in amending the original wording so that businesses operating multiple activities pay only the tax applicable to their primary activity, thereby avoiding an additional financial burden.
“The agreement reinforces our commitment to the island’s economic development and highlights preventive legal advice as a tool for business growth,” emphasized Ana Belén Piñas, founding partner of the firm, as noted in the association’s press release.
