Puerto del Rosario Prepares for the Grand Three Kings Parade

Puerto del Rosario is gearing up for one of the most anticipated Christmas events – the Grand Parade of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men – a festive occasion that will wind through the main streets of the island’s capital on January 5.

The day will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with the traditional visit of the Three Wise Men to the local hospital, a gesture that brings the magic of the season to patients, especially the youngest ones.

In the afternoon, the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. from the Commercial Pier, traveling through the centre of Puerto del Rosario and ending at the Giant Nativity Scene, where the Majesties will pause to greet the crowd and share the moment with families and visitors.

Inclusive route and accessibility

• A quiet, noise‑free segment has been added especially for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), making the celebration more inclusive.
• The Royal Train will accommodate people with reduced mobility, ensuring easy access to the event.

Acknowledgements

The municipality especially thanks the Chekipa Foundation, as well as the various collectives and associations that make the event possible. Appreciation is also extended to the Port Authority, Firefighters, Civil Protection, Red Cross, Local Police and other services whose work is essential for a smooth day.

Official statements

“It is an event where the shared excitement of neighbours and visitors, especially the youngest, gives the start of the year a special component, looking to the future with renewed hope and best wishes,” said Mayor David de Vera.

“We see the Wise Men’s Parades as a space for meeting, culture and shared values, moving toward a more coherent and participatory celebration where animal welfare and cultural identity are part of the story,” added Councilor for Festivities and Animal Welfare Tacoremi Gutiérrez.

Safety reminder

Organisers urge all attendees to follow safety instructions and respect the designated zones along the route.

The town hall invites families and residents of Puerto del Rosario and neighbouring municipalities to join this spectacular celebration, promising a magical start to the new year for all ages.
