Puerto del Rosario tourism promoted in Northern Europe

The Tourism Department of Puerto del Rosario has launched an international digital advertising campaign that relies on geolocation technology to target high‑interest European tourism markets directly.

The promotional effort will run for one month in three European capitals—Helsinki, Copenhagen and Zurich—with the aim of attracting travelers looking to escape the winter cold. Geographic and behavioral segmentation will ensure that the ads are shown only to users physically present in those cities.

“Nordic tourism has always been of a medium‑high profile, attractive to any destination, and Puerto del Rosario wants to promote its landscapes, gastronomy, culture, climate and other attractions,” said Mayor David de Vera.

Tourism councilor Rosa Rodríguez added:

“In markets such as Europe, where there are direct flights, we are highlighting Puerto del Rosario’s identity as the island’s capital—a destination that combines culture, urban art, coastline and a complementary tourism offer that enriches the visitor’s experience.”

The campaign will tailor its messages to the predominant languages of each target city, improving user connection and strengthening the tourism brand of Puerto del Rosario. This initiative is part of the municipal strategy to optimise promotional resources and consolidate a presence in key international markets.
