Rain and wind sweep Fuerteventura
A good soaking, especially in the north of the island early this morning
The low‑pressure system Regina left, in its latest pass, strong winds throughout Fuerteventura, with minor incidents reported in almost every municipality, including fallen trees and urban furniture during the early hours.
It also brought a substantial amount of rain, particularly in the north of the island, where 13.7 liters were recorded in the municipality of La Oliva, about 7 liters in Puerto del Rosario, and slightly less in the south of Fuerteventura.
At the moment Regina is moving northward, leaving behind the influence of the Azores anticyclone, which will bring sunnier days. However, the trade winds are expected to return from Friday, promising a very windy weekend. Temperatures are not expected to change significantly.
