Ramiro Blas Sponsors the 4th Fuerteventura Natural Film Set Award
The actor presented his short film PLANÄNDERUNG (Change of Plan), created with an entirely local professional crew. Submissions to Notodofilmfest are open until 9 October.
A renewed partnership
Fuerteventura Film Commission and the online short‑film festival Notodofilmfest have joined forces again for the fourth edition of the Premio Fuerteventura Plató de Cine Natural. This category makes the island itself the protagonist and source of inspiration for filmmakers.
This year the prize is sponsored by Argentine actor Ramiro Blas, who stepped behind the camera to direct the short PLANÄNDERUNG (Change of Plan), shot on Fuerteventura with a fully local professional team.
The work was presented today by the author, accompanied by island president Lola García and FFC councilor Nereida Calero.
“With this award we aim not only to boost local talent but also to strengthen the film industry as an economic and cultural engine for Fuerteventura,” said García.
“Our island, with its unique landscapes and incomparable light, once again becomes the perfect stage for stories that move and inspire. These landscapes must be protected.”
Councilor Calero thanked Blas for his sponsorship, adding that his involvement will continue to drive the Premio Fuerteventura Plató de Cine Natural, which seeks to stimulate audiovisual creativity and showcase the island’s scenery as both inspiration and setting. She encouraged everyone interested to apply, not only for this specific prize but also for the festival’s general awards, which will be presented in January 2026 at the Callao cinemas in Madrid.
Ramiro Blas sponsors the Fuerteventura set
Ramiro Blas, an Argentine actor and presenter known for his roles in Vis a Vis and El Internado: Las Cumbres, declared his love for Fuerteventura.
In 2023 he worked on the German production Islands, filmed entirely on the island by director Jan‑Ole Gerster. He recalled:
“When I arrived on the island, I felt embraced by its people and its unrivaled nature—something I could combine with my greatest passion.”
When invited to sponsor the Premio Fuerteventura Plató Natural de Cine, he could not refuse, wanting to highlight what makes Fuerteventura distinct from other islands.
Blas explained that the short film was made exclusively with island professionals:
“For the shoot we relied on local talent and personnel. It was essential to use Fuerteventura’s human resources—people with enormous talent and richness.”
The team present at the presentation praised the experience of working with Blas on a comedy‑driven short that uses “plan changes” to showcase the high quality of Fuerteventura productions.
