Renault Unveils Electric R4 at Juan Toledo's 50th Anniversary in Lanzarote
Renault chose the island of Lanzarote as the stage for the official presentation to the Canary media of the new Renault 4 E‑Tech electric, a fully electric reinterpretation of the iconic “cuatro latas”. Under the slogan “a car full of life”, the Renault 4 E‑Tech blends a retro‑futuristic design that pays homage to the original DNA with modern versatility and cutting‑edge technology, making it an ideal companion for both city driving and everyday getaways.

The event marked a first in more than five decades of Renault Juan Toledo’s history: never before had the brand chosen Lanzarote for an official launch. The occasion underscores Renault Group’s confidence in, and commitment to, the work and dedication of the island’s dealership network.

The vehicle features the openR link multimedia system with built‑in Google, more than 100 apps, connected services, and Reno, the first brand avatar powered by ChatGPT that intelligently assists the driver.

- 110 kW (150 hp) motor with a 52 kWh battery → up to 409 km WLTP range
Van version
A specially adapted Van model is available for professionals such as artisans, couriers, service companies, and fleet operators.
Production
The Renault 4 E‑Tech is entirely manufactured in France within Renault Group’s ElectriCity industrial hub:

Market launch
The Renault 4 E‑Tech has been on sale in Spain since June 2025, representing a new generation of compact electric vehicles that are versatile, connected, sustainable, and full of character.
