Repeat Couple Arrested for Forced Robbery at a La Oliva Business
The Civil Guard of the Corralejo Main Station detained, on 19 August, a married couple—a man and a woman—as alleged perpetrators of a forced‑entry robbery inside a business in La Oliva. The value of the stolen goods in this incident amounted to €6,845.33 in bottles of alcohol and tobacco.
The robbery took place at the end of June, when the suspects employed the same modus operandi used in previous cases: they shattered the entrance doors with blunt objects such as a mace, gained access to the premises, and removed the merchandise within minutes before fleeing quickly.
Investigators focused on a detailed analysis of the security‑camera footage, which allowed them to link the couple to earlier robberies recorded in Corralejo. The pair were finally located and arrested on 19 August.
The detainees are repeat offenders; they had already been arrested in June and July and have accumulated up to eight property‑crime offenses. With this latest case, the Civil Guard has clarified a total of nine forced‑entry robberies in La Oliva during 2025, causing an estimated economic loss of around €30,000.
The arrested individuals, together with the corresponding investigative files, were placed at the disposal of the Guard’s acting court in Puerto del Rosario.
Through these actions, the Civil Guard emphasizes its commitment to protecting public safety and defending local commerce against such crimes.
