Search for Christmas Magic Gives Away €4,000 in Puerto del Rosario

The Puerto del Rosario Business Association celebrated on Thursday, December 18 2025, the award ceremony of the commercial‑stimulation campaign “Search for the Magic of Christmas.” The event marked the close of the campaign’s third edition, during which a total of €4,000 was handed out.

The ceremony took place on Primero de Mayo Street, one of the municipality’s main commercial arteries, and was sponsored by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura with the collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands, according to the organizing body.

• Eight vouchers redeemable in local businesses of Puerto del Rosario were distributed, aiming to boost spending in the town’s shops during the holiday period.
• The campaign used a scratch‑and‑win system: for every purchase over €10, customers received a card that allowed them to instantly check whether they had won.

“This initiative is now well established, and we can see its positive impact on both merchants and customers,” said Daniela Plotegher, president of the Puerto del Rosario Business Association.

“Actions like this are crucial for maintaining economic activity and preserving jobs in our municipalities,” added Nuria Cabrera, Economic Promotion Councilor of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura.
