Season's First Cruises Launch with the “Discover Puerto” Campaign
The Puerto del Rosario City Council and the local Business Association have launched the second edition of “Discover Puerto,” a tourism‑and‑commerce activation that coincides with the start of the cruise season, which will run until 17 May 2026.
Financed by the municipal tourism department, the initiative aims to enhance the experience of cruise visitors and stimulate spending in the capital’s open‑air commercial zones, offering a mix of heritage, local shopping and cultural activities.
Tourist Train, Guides and Market
- A tourist train will circulate through the city’s main historic, cultural and commercial points, stopping at emblematic locations.
- Tourist guides will welcome cruise passengers, providing information on local attractions and heritage assets.
- The street Primero de Mayo will host the Cruise Market, where artisans and local shops will showcase their products amid musical ambience.
“The cruise season is an opportunity to show the best of our capital. From the City Council we continue to back initiatives that generate economic movement and highlight the identity and hospitality of the municipality,” said Mayor David de Vera.
“‘Discover Puerto’ has proven to be an effective project for linking cruise traffic with the city’s commercial and cultural offer. This year we are strengthening information and transport services to provide a more complete and comfortable experience,” added Tourism Councilor Rosa Rodríguez.
“The continuity of the project and the benefits it brings to local commerce are clear. Each season, businesses have the chance to reach thousands of visitors discovering the charm and quality of our local offer,” emphasized Business Association President Daniela Plotegher.
