Southern Storm Front Triggers Pre‑Alert for Rain

Government of the Canary Islands warns stormy phenomena may occur in Fuerteventura

A storm front arriving from the south could bring precipitation to the island of Fuerteventura on Thursday, according to the rain warning issued by the Directorate General of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The government warns that stormy phenomena may develop near the islands and even produce occasionally strong showers.

At the moment forecasts are erratic, as the storm could pass to the east of the island and result in little or no rainfall. We will continue to provide updates.
