Stellar seniors' gala lights up Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura honored the commitment, dedication and values shown by nearly 300 senior participants of Neuromajo 2025 during a gala held on Saturday, 24 January, at the Palace of Training and Congresses of Fuerteventura.

The event marked the culmination of Neuromajo 2025, a project of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura’s Department of Social Action, in collaboration with the Neurolímpica Association, the island’s six municipalities and, this year, Padilla Supermercados SPAR.

Celebrating Seniors

President Lola García congratulated every participant, stating:

“This event celebrates dedication and, above all, the spirit of our seniors in a Neurolympic season, in which Fuerteventura, once again, has left its mark, showing that the Majorero spirit knows no bounds.”

Social Action counselor Víctor Alonso added:

“Today we celebrate minds, paths and bravery. The Neuromajo gala is meant to recognize daily effort, perseverance and the inspiration that sustains us as an exemplary island.”

He also thanked the Neurolímpica Association, the municipalities and Padilla Supermercados SPAR “for believing in the project from the start, as well as the coaches and participants.”
