Storm drives haze to Slovenia

The rotor of this disturbance will sweep the dust away from the islands this Saturday afternoon.

The dust that drives the storm that has been circling us for several days will cease to be present from Saturday afternoon onward and, surprisingly, will travel to regions as far away as northern Italy, Slovenia, or Croatia.

The phenomenon is caused by the rotational movement that makes suspended dust continue to be deflected northward at higher altitudes when the wind arrives in the Canary Islands with strong northern gusts.

Throughout Friday and Saturday, the wind will remain strong, but by Sunday a clear improvement will be noticeable. In any case, forecasts point to strong north‑west winds on Tuesday, with a chance of light rain.
