Stranded Boat Removed from Corralejo Coast

The boat had been grounded in the Playa del Medio area since August 27.

The Local Police of La Oliva announced that the vessel, which had been stuck on Playa del Medio in Corralejo since that date, has now been removed.

The boat ran aground on the old Corralejo coast after a mooring line from the harbor inlet gave way. No personal injuries were reported.

According to the Local Police, from the moment the vessel became stranded until its final removal, daily inspections were carried out to ensure safety, check the boat’s stability, and rule out any possible spills.

Taking advantage of the low tide and using heavy machinery, the operation proceeded efficiently, as shown in the impressive footage captured by the La Oliva Municipal Police drone.
