Strong alisio winds expected this Wednesday

Temperatures will ease from Thursday through the end of the week

The weather will give a brief respite in Fuerteventura starting Thursday. On Wednesday, strong northeast winds will continue, and temperatures could drop below 12 °C during the early morning across many parts of the island.

From Thursday onward, wind intensity will decrease and temperatures will rise slightly, at least until next Monday, when a return of strong northwest winds and light rain is expected.

On Wednesday the sea will remain very rough, with waves reaching up to four metres high, so extreme caution is advised along the coast. By Thursday the wave height should also subside, dropping to around 1.5 m off the northern part of the island.

The situation is therefore becoming more anticyclonic, providing a break after weeks of rain and falling temperatures.
