Strong North Wind Returns This Tuesday

After two days of calm, the trade wind returns, this time pushed by the anticyclone located northwest of the islands.

Moist northeast winds are back this Tuesday with force on the island of Fuerteventura, reaching up to 50 km/h in some north‑ and southwest‑facing areas. The trade winds will carry humidity and lower temperatures, especially during the early hours, with a chance of occasional drizzle.

The sea state will also be affected: a north‑easterly swell will generate waves up to four metres high along the north and west coasts of the island. This condition is expected to persist through Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a noticeable easing on Thursday and Friday. The wind will pick up again toward the weekend, though less intensely.
