Strong winds return starting Thursday
Temperatures drop and there is a high probability of drizzle in Fuerteventura
The light easterly winds that have been with us up to Wednesday will give way to sunny, hot days with Saharan dust drifting in from the African continent.
Temperatures will rise above 25 °C in many parts of the island, and the sea will be relatively calm from Monday onward, with waves not exceeding two metres along the most exposed western and northern coasts.
Radical change
From Thursday onward the weather will change dramatically across the island, bringing strong northeasterly winds and a combined sea state that could reach four metres in the open waters of the north and west.
Wind speeds may hit 60 km/h in some locations and could be accompanied by drizzle, especially on Thursday.
During the weekend and the first week of March the trade wind will remain present but with reduced intensity.
