Tender for a 364‑Spot, Two‑Story Parking Garage in Corralejo

The La Oliva Town Hall announces 500 new parking spaces in Corralejo through two separate projects

The La Oliva Town Hall announces 500 new parking spaces in Corralejo, of which the first project—364 spaces—has already gone to tender, with a seven‑month construction period. The second parking, to be located on Calle Palangre, is planned but has no set date yet.

The municipality has confirmed that 364 of the new spaces will be built near the Corralejo bus station. According to the council, this project is already in the tender phase and is being financed by the Canary Islands Ministry of Public Works.

The parking structure will be modular, comprising two floors for a total of 5,000 m², and once the contract is awarded, the works are expected to be completed within seven months.

A second facility, providing 164 spaces, is planned on Calle Palangre next to the CAAF depot. This project has not yet been put out to tender, and the council did not give any timeline for its execution.

“We continue working on the government’s commitment to provide not only more housing for the municipality’s residents but also new parking spaces in Corralejo,” said Mayor Isaí Blanco.

“We are aware that this is a crucial issue for our neighbours in the north, and it has become a vital matter that will be realized within seven months from the contract award,” Blanco added.

“Our goal is simply to improve the quality of life in the town—with more homes and accessible parking for the municipality’s citizens,” the mayor concluded.

The town hall linked the parking plans to the construction of 125 new homes in La Bocaina and Panorama Tres Islas, aiming to adapt to La Oliva’s evolving needs.

The first parking lot will be situated adjacent to the bus station.
