The world rallies for an end to the genocide in Gaza
In Puerto del Rosario the rally is scheduled for 6 p.m. this afternoon
Many Spanish cities will host demonstrations on Saturday, October 4, in solidarity with the Palestinian people, significantly affecting traffic in city centres.
The protest is part of a nationwide call that will be repeated in dozens of municipalities throughout the weekend, aiming to raise the visibility of the Palestinian cause across the country.
The meeting point in Puerto del Rosario will be at 6 p.m. in front of the fountain on the main square. Participants will follow the traditional route along the avenue, return to the starting point, and read a manifesto.
The mobilisation in Puerto del Rosario is expected to be one of the most prominent among the series of protests organised by the Solidarity Network against the Occupation of Palestine (RESCOP). Over the weekend, other cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Granada, and Murcia will also hold marches under the same slogan.
Organisers stress that the goal is to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and demand an end to the arms trade and diplomatic relations with Israel. Attendance in the capital of Fuerteventura is anticipated to be high, potentially making it the largest pro‑Palestine march in recent years.
