Three Arrested and Drug Deal Spot Shut Down in Puerto del Rosario
Police officers from the National Police detained three individuals—two men and a woman—on October 30 for alleged involvement in drug trafficking and membership in a criminal group, effectively disabling a drug‑selling operation in Puerto del Rosario.
The operation followed an investigation launched in early October after residents repeatedly reported a constant flow of people entering a house in the town. Neighbours said the premises were frequented at all hours, even in the early morning, creating a “sense of insecurity” among the community.
“The constant comings and goings, especially at night, made us feel unsafe in our own neighborhood.”
To verify the complaints, police set up a surveillance system that recorded a high volume of visitors to the property. Officers also detected a strong fuel odor typical of crack‑cooking activities.
Armed with this evidence, a court authorized a search of the dwelling. During the raid, authorities seized:
- 31.82 g of cocaine
- 24.91 g of hashish
- €354.87 in cash
- Equipment and materials used for drug preparation
The operation resulted in the detention of two young men, aged 20 and 22, and a 19‑year‑old woman. After the investigation concluded, the primary suspect was placed in provisional prison by judicial order, while the other two individuals were released pending further charges.
