Three-year suspension and €1,440 fine for C.B. Los Toscones player

The sanction concerns the player who, according to the match report, pushed and kicked a referee during a Tercera FEB game in Corralejo.

Gonzalo Guerra, a member of the basketball club Toscones Corralejo, received a three‑year suspension and a €1,440 fine after he assaulted a referee on 14 February during the match against the Madrid‑based team Fuenlabrada.

The Spanish Basketball Federation announced the decision in its list of resolutions, referring to the incident that took place at the José Perdomo Umpiérrez Pavilion in Corralejo, as documented in the official referee report.

“The player, after being called for a personal foul, rammed the referee from behind and, while the official was defenseless on the floor, struck him a second time with a heavy stomp to the chest,” the referee reported.

The assaulted referee filed a complaint with the Civil Guard, alleging a possible assault injury. He received medical attention at the emergency services of the Canary Health Service, according to Canarias 7.
