Trump tells advisers to cut ties with Spain

The American president says, “although oil will rise, it will then fall, even more than before.”

In a press conference, the U.S. president declared that Spain is a terrible ally and, live on air, demanded that his advisers cut all business with the country. He added, without embarrassment, that the United States has not used Spanish military bases because it didn’t want to—and that if it had wanted to, it would have done so; I don’t see how they can prevent it.

Trump’s outburst comes after Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s government refused to allow the United States to use the Rota and Morón bases in its offensive against Iran.

The president continues to make bizarre statements in his remarks, claiming:

“I’ve done many good things. A lot of people tell me, ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you.’ You can see it on the streets of Los Angeles… I saw a woman hugging a picture of me.”

Amid expectations of soaring inflation, Trump reiterated his earlier claim that “although oil will rise, it will then fall, even more than before.”
