Two detained in Corralejo for driving without a license and pending court order
The Local Police of La Oliva carried out two notable operations in Corralejo in recent days, linked to traffic‑safety offences and the execution of a judicial order.
First intervention – identity theft and driving without a licence
The first operation took place on Avenida Grandes Playas, where a patrol observed a vehicle making a sudden left turn across a solid line without signalling. When the driver was stopped, he produced a German driving licence that did not match his identity. After several checks, officers confirmed that the individual was impersonating someone else and had never obtained a valid driving licence.
Consequently, judicial proceedings were opened for identity theft and for a suspected breach of traffic safety under article 384 of the Penal Code, the Local Police of La Oliva reported on its social‑media channel.
Arrested for the unlawful appropriation of a motor vehicle
The second operation occurred on Tuesday, 16 September, when officers located a driver on a central street in Corralejo who was subject to an active judicial order for the unlawful appropriation of a motor vehicle. After verifying the search, capture and arrest warrant, the suspect was detained and taken to police facilities, from where he was handed over to the Civil Guard for judicial processing.
