In the initial assessment, an 8‑year‑old child was found with a moderate head injury and a moderate abdominal injury. The child was transferred by a medicalized ambulance from the Emergency Services Unit (SUC) to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.

A woman was also injured; she suffered several moderate‑severity traumas. She was taken in a basic life‑support ambulance from the SUC to the same hospital.

At 9 a.m., the Canary Islands Government’s Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES 112) received an alert reporting the overturn of a passenger car at the aforementioned location.
