Two treated for smoke inhalation after kitchen fire in Corralejo

A man and a woman were taken to Corralejo health centre after a fire broke out in the kitchen of a home on Calle Isaac Peral.

The incident occurred at around 1.33pm, according to the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Centre. La Oliva firefighters extinguished the flames and ventilated the building.

Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) staff assessed the man and woman as suffering from moderate smoke inhalation, subject to any complications, and took them to the health centre. Local Police secured the area and assisted the other emergency services.
