Vueling adds new routes from Bilbao, Barcelona, Malaga, Seville and Paris

The airline is already offering new direct seats to the peninsula, with six weekly frequencies between Fuerteventura and Bilbao, four to Barcelona, Málaga and Sevilla, and three to Paris Orly. Iberia Express announces three additional daily flights to Madrid, as disclosed by the Tourism Board at FITUR.

Fuerteventura continues to receive positive news from international operators. During the third professional day of FITUR 2026, the Tourism Board highlighted the confirmation of new Vueling flights. The airline will operate direct seats this summer between the island and Bilbao (six weekly frequencies), as well as four weekly flights to Barcelona, Málaga and Sevilla, and three weekly flights to Paris Orly.

Iberia Express, for the same summer season, will provide direct seats to Madrid with three daily flights.

Another focus of the Tourism Board’s agenda at FITUR was the presentation of the Tuineje offer, held at the tourism‑municipalities stand and supported by the Board together with the presence of the Tourism Councillor.

FITUR continues over the weekend, although today marks the end of its exclusive professional programme. In these three days of work, the Fuerteventura delegation has demonstrated a united destination identity—a strength that has reinforced its offer and its drive to attract markets with higher spending power, a concern for sustainability, and a desire to discover genuine local experiences. As the Board put it:

“This work allows us to keep advancing a tourism model that aims to grow in quality, prioritising tourism that adds value, respects the territory and generates real benefits for the island, local employment and its people.”

A Very Positive Assessment of FITUR 2026

Tourism Councillor of the Fuerteventura Cabildo, Marlene Figueroa, gave a highly positive assessment of this edition of FITUR:

“Collaboration and unity among all tourism sector agents in Fuerteventura have been paramount, alongside the work carried out by the Cabildo and the municipalities to bring the whole island closer to the goal of offering a better product to visitors with a specific profile—those interested in quality and authentic experiences that make them part of the island’s idiosyncrasy. This objective necessarily involves people rooted in the island whose products and services are unique, such as our Primary sector.”
