Vueling connects Fuerteventura with Bilbao, Barcelona, Malaga, Seville and Paris

The third professional day of FITUR 2026 brought more good news for the Fuerteventura destination. The airline Vueling confirmed that it will operate direct summer flights to:

  • Bilbao – six weekly frequencies
  • Barcelona, Málaga and Sevilla – four weekly frequencies each
  • Paris‑Orly – scheduled services

In parallel, Iberia Express announced direct daily flights to Madrid, with three flights per day for the same summer season.

Another highlight of the tourism board’s agenda at FITUR was the presentation of the Tuineje offer at the “Municipios Turísticos” stand, supported by the board and attended by the island’s tourism councilor.

FITUR continues over the weekend, although today marks the end of its exclusive professional programme. During the three‑day event, the Fuerteventura delegation showcased its destination unity, a strength that has reinforced its offer and its drive to attract higher‑spending markets interested in sustainability and authentic experiences.

“This work allows us to keep developing a tourism model that aims to grow in quality, prioritising tourism that adds value, respects the territory and generates real benefits for the island, local employment and its people.”

Tourism councilor Marlene Figueroa gave a very positive assessment of this edition of FITUR:

“Collaboration and unity have prevailed among all tourism agents in Fuerteventura, as well as the work carried out by the Cabildo and the municipalities to bring the whole island closer to the goal of offering a better product to visitors with a specific profile—those who value quality and authentic experiences that make them part of the Majorero identity. This goal necessarily involves people rooted on the island whose products and services are unique, like our primary sector.”

The tourism board’s agenda during the three professional days of FITUR 2026 also included numerous meetings with international tour operators such as MTS Glove, Karavel, Avoris, Jet2, Itaka, Edelweiss, Alpitour, EasyJet, Viajes El Corte Inglés and MasterChef World. Today the focus shifted to Expedia Group, Destinia España, Europlayas España, Vueling, Iberia Express, Holiday Check (Germany & Switzerland), TUI (Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands), eDreams España, Alpitour Italia and Thalasso nº 1 France.
