Today we awaken to the sad news of the loss of Rosa Mari Mesa, a pillar of island nationalism and a champion for the rights of all Majoreros across numerous island institutions. From her beloved Asamblea Majorera, she constantly fought for the island of Fuerteventura.

Rosa Mari was one of the main driving forces behind the current Social Services of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, working tirelessly to ensure they reached every resident of the island. Her work was always marked by commitment, empathy, and vision.

A woman of strong character and a beloved daughter of Fuerteventura, she leaves an immensely important legacy on the island; without her contributions, the present state of Majorero society would not be recognized. From this humble headquarters we wish to express our deep respect and stand alongside her family and friends in their grief.
