Windy Week and Hot Weekend

The trade wind will blow until Wednesday and from Thursday temperatures will rise

We can expect a sunny “Feaga” with rising temperatures and light easterly winds. According to the models, a slight dust haze at altitude cannot be ruled out over the weekend.

The wind will blow strongly from the northeast throughout Sunday afternoon and will continue on Monday and Tuesday, beginning to ease on Wednesday. By Thursday, we will have light easterly winds.

Temperatures will follow the retreat of the trade wind, so they will start to climb from Thursday onward, with thermometers reaching around 25 °C in many parts of the island. Until Sunday, the island will remain under the influence of the Saharan ridge, with the anticyclone slightly displaced toward the Atlantic.

Regarding sea conditions, exercise great caution throughout the week, especially on Monday, when waves could reach up to 5 meters high on the north and west coasts of Fuerteventura.
