Atlantic Environmental Conference Returns June 4‑6
CAMA 2026 will bring together more than a fortnight of environmental experts in Fuerteventura to discuss biodiversity, circular economy, and climate change.
Fuerteventura will host a new edition of the Atlantic Environmental Conference (CAMA) from 4 to 6 June, organized by the Environment Department of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura. Over three days, the event will gather professionals, experts, public administrations, companies, and sustainability‑focused organisations to tackle the main environmental challenges facing the Canary Islands and explore possible lines of action.
CAMA 2026 will be structured around four major pillars:
- Biodiversity
- Circular economy
- Climate change
- Environmental communication and awareness
The programme will feature presentations and round‑table discussions with the participation of more than a fortnight of specialists. On 6 June, a field visit to the La Oliva Biological Station will be organised, allowing participants to see on‑site conservation projects, habitat restoration efforts, and environmental management practices in Fuerteventura.
“The conference will enable us to share knowledge, forge alliances, and address real solutions to the island’s most pressing environmental challenges,” said Carlos Rodríguez, the island’s Environment Minister.
Registrations are now open via the official link here. The event is open to the general public, technical staff, public officials, consultants, companies, environmental professionals, and any entities linked to sustainability.
