Cabildo says SPAP process was rigorous at every stage
“In response to the complaint from the non‑awarded entity, it was declared that the entity was excluded due to an unrectifiable defect in its administrative documentation.”
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the Department of Social Action, announced that the social concerted procedure for the provision of the Personal Autonomy Promotion Service (SPAP) has been carried out with full rigor and that the awarded company meets all the required criteria.
Key facts of the procedure
- Scope: 120 service positions amounting to €1,722,000.
- Participants: Two entities submitted bids.
- One entity was excluded because of an unrectifiable defect in its documentation.
- The remaining entity is registered in the Registry of Collaborative Entities of the Administration for the Provision of Social Services of the Canary Islands, authorizing it to deliver the service under current regulations.
- Monitoring: The service will receive specific follow‑up from the technical team of the Department of Social Action, as is standard for all contracts issued by the public administration.
The Cabildo expressed regret over the misinformation surrounding this essential service, which provides home care for the most vulnerable citizens, and urged the public not to be misled by incomplete information concerning one of the island’s priority initiatives.
