Call for nominations now open for the 2026 Fuerteventura Distinguished Tourism Awards
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through its Tourism Board, has opened the window for submitting nominations for the 2026 Fuerteventura Tourism Distinguished Awards. The deadline is June 15, and all proposals must be submitted via the Cabildo’s electronic portal.
Lola García, President of the Cabildo, highlighted that these awards recognize the work of tourism professionals who make Fuerteventura a destination known for quality services while always prioritizing respect for the environment.
“The ceremony awarding the Fuerteventura Tourism Distinguished Awards is the highest institutional recognition for the individuals and organizations that, day after day, turn the tourism sector into an economic and employment engine for the island,” said Marlene Figueroa, Tourism Counselor of the Cabildo.
The awards aim to honor meritorious, relevant, and continuous contributions—by individuals or legal entities—in defending, promoting, innovating, renewing, modernizing, or improving the quality and sustainability of Fuerteventura’s tourism sector.
