Feaga 2026 draws nearly 45,000 attendees, with strong public and industry participation

Around 45,000 visitors attended the 2026 Fuerteventura Agricultural, Livestock and Fisheries Fair (Feaga). During the closing ceremony, Lola García, president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, thanked the strong involvement of the island’s primary sector and highlighted the high attendance.

“This shows the strength of our primary sector and how essential it is for our population: a fair in capital letters.”

Lola García announced that the next edition will take place from April 15‑18, adding that the Cabildo will continue to work hand‑in‑hand with professionals and will keep protecting and defending the primary sector.

Enrique Pérez, councilor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, also expressed gratitude:

“We thank Fuerteventura for responding to Feaga 2026. What matters most is the work of agriculture, livestock and fishing, which is precisely what Feaga showcases.”

Both officials thanked the sector’s professionals for making the fair possible, as well as the staff of the Island Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, other Cabildo areas, municipal governments, the Government of the Canary Islands, associations and collectives. They also extended thanks to civil protection, security forces, health services and all municipal authorities.

Andrés Díaz, Director General of Livestock, praised the Cabildo and the island’s community:

“This regional fair would be nothing without the involvement of the island’s president and the Cabildo. It belongs to the workers of the primary sector, and that has been clearly demonstrated.”

Juan Cabrera, first deputy mayor of the municipality of Antigua, added:

“We will continue supporting the primary sector throughout the year.”

Attendance and Highlights

  • The fair featured more than 200 stands, including commercial, institutional, producer, artisan market, kiosks and association booths.
  • 3,000 schoolchildren (preschool and primary) and 700 seniors from all municipalities visited the fair on Friday afternoon.
