Gran Tarajal's Palm Trees Finally Look Their Best
“Fuerteventura, Beautiful by Nature” completes pruning and phytosanitary treatment of 223 palms in Gran Tarajal
The work is part of the “Fuerteventura, Beautiful by Nature” program carried out by the Cabildo. Specialized technicians carried out pruning and phytosanitary treatment on a total of 223 Phoenix dactylifera palms.
Locations:
- Parque Félix López – 180 palms
- Avenida de la Constitución and Avenida Islas Canarias – 43 palms (combined)
Objectives: In every case, both pruning and the application of a phytosanitary treatment promote the good health of the palm grove.
Scope of work:
- Executed by technical staff specialized in palm management.
- Covered an area of approximately two hectares.
The intervention included:
- Controlled pruning using specific tools.
- Application of a phytosanitary treatment.
- Removal of vegetal waste to an authorized disposal site.
The comprehensive approach ensures that the palm groves in Gran Tarajal remain healthy and aesthetically pleasing, reinforcing the island’s commitment to preserving its natural beauty.
