Lajares'
The municipality of La Oliva will approve in plenary the transfer of the land required to carry out the conditioning and accessibility project for road FV‑109 as it passes through Lajares, the Cabildo of Fuerteventura announced in a statement.
The island authority indicated that this step will allow progress on works that were definitively approved by the Cabildo itself last March, valued at more than four million euros.
The project includes the improvement of the Lajares crossing and also adds a specific amendment for the development of the local sanitation network.
“Collaboration between administrations is essential to implement strategic projects like this,” said Cabildo President Lola García.
“The land transfer is a crucial step to be able to tender the works that the population has been demanding for a long time.”
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, added:
“This project responds to a historic demand from the residents of Los Lajares.”
