Majorca's Young Poet Patricia Figueroa Brito Unveils Her First Poetry Book
The young writer delves into the world of poetry with “LATIDOS DE MI ISLA” (Heartbeats of My Island), published by the Talón de Aquiles editorial.
The Josefina Plá hall, located in the Palace of Training and Congresses, will host the presentation on Monday, March 30 at 19:00 h. The event will be introduced by Alberto Álvarez Soto.
This poetry collection invites readers to travel through emotions, memories and roots through the power of words. LATIDOS DE MI ISLA is a poetic journey that moves between origin and distance, between what is left behind and what is never completely abandoned. Through verses born of the sea, the wind and memory, the author retraces her personal history: childhood on the islands, family as a refuge, love lived amidst multiple farewells, the wound of absence and the need to return home.
The book speaks of growing far from the land that names you, of loving when differences and the ocean intervene, of losing without ceasing to feel, and of learning to rebuild without renouncing who you are. Each poem is a heartbeat that unites past with present, root with path, wound with hope.
Patricia Figueroa Brito is currently pursuing a bilingual degree in International Relations at the University of A Coruña (Galicia), now in her second academic year.
