Saharan dust returns after sweeping across Spain
Suspended dust has been the main feature across the Iberian Peninsula these days
The dust returns to the islands during Thursday’s day, this time from the north after making a tour around southern Europe, propelled by the Regina low‑pressure system that acted like a suction device from the African continent.
The suspended dust will be with us for a few hours and will have little impact, as the trade winds will blow strongly from Friday onward, pushing it southward and eastward.
By the weekend, the trade wind returns, moderate with slightly rising temperatures and skies that will be partly cloudy and clear; an occasional drizzle cannot be ruled out.
