Town Hall welcomes 19 participants of the “Tuineje Is Present” employment plan

These individuals will work until December 29 in various public‑service areas of the municipality.

The Town Hall of Tuineje welcomed, on Monday, the 19 people joining the “Tuineje Is Present” Employment Plan, who will carry out their duties until December 29 in different municipal public‑service departments. The reception was attended by Mayor David Herrera, Deputy Mayor Dulce García, and councilors Jonathan Peña, Guacimara Sosa, Evelyn Ávila, and Miguel Andújar.

“We want to wish you the best of luck and make ourselves available for anything you may need. Above all, we welcome you to municipal management, which you are now part of, performing an essential role for the smooth functioning and development of the municipality,” Herrera said.

Target Audience

The program is aimed at people over 45 years old and/or members of vulnerable groups who have been unemployed for at least six months in the past year. The mayor emphasized that the initiative provides an opportunity for those facing greater difficulties entering the labor market.

Job Assignments

  • 1 administrative assistant
  • 4 monitors
  • 4 in the gardening department
  • 4 construction laborers and 2 foremen
  • 4 specialized cleaning workers

Funding and Collaboration

The Employment Plan is part of a collaboration agreement between the Canary Islands Employment Service of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Tuineje Town Hall, with a total investment of €387,533.27.
